Research Services can perform student background checks not only faculty members but also students in conformity with applicable law. For example, we have worked with several colleges and universities that conduct checks for students who may participate in off-campus clinical work. In particular, many medical and nursing schools conduct background checks on students who may perform clinical work at nearby hospitals. Many of these hospitals require the student to pass a background check before they are allowed on site. They are sensitive to any risk that visitors may present to employees or patients.
